Flying Ranged Death

Which would be best for a ranged character who flies on a giant bat?
Drd1/FtrX with bows
Drd1/FtrX/Master Thrower(1-5) with Javelins
DrdX

Wildshaping is not in the works for this char.
This char should ever not be hit except by ranged weapons and spells.

Right now I am leaning towards a high str build with brutal throw and farshot. Quick draw is necessary, but comes with master thrower. weapon spec is less essential with thrown weapons than it is with bows.

Or should I just screw the physical stats and do a straight druid - calling lightning and creating storms and flinging fire from a giant bat...

In any case, the drd 1 is so I can take natural bond to get the dire bat companion.

1. Don't count on only being attacked by ranged weapons or spells. You won't be the only airborn being around.

2. how heavy will you be? flying mounts stop flying if carrying more than a light or medium[depending on the book] load. Plus Dire bat might not be treated as a quadraped and as such it would have a low load capacity[compared to other mounts]

Double check with the DM you have before getting your hopes up for this build.

Combat

Dire bats swoop down upon unsuspecting prey from above.

Blindsense (Ex): A dire bat uses echolocation to pinpoint creatures within 40 feet. Opponents still have total concealment against the bat unless it can actually see them.

Skills: Dire bats have a +4 racial bonus on Spot and Listen checks. These bonuses are lost if its blindsense is negated.
