[FONTS] Looking for a strong but hard header font for modern/cyberpunk/future setting

The Laughing One
I'm looking for a strong but hard header font for a modern/cyberpunk/future publication. I've found Serpentine, but maybe it's still just a tad to soft... Maybe someone has some good alternatives?

I intend to use Celestia Antiqua for the body. It looks pretty on screen and on print, i also have already purchased a liscence for it, but am willing to look at alternatives if someone has a better idea...

Try http://www.acidfonts.com

There are 4700+ cool fonts for free.
I've already looked at hundreds of fonts today, my eyes hurt, i will keep looking, but i was wondering if someone else had a specific suggestion... ;-)

Those 'free' fonts are nice, but there are limitations on those because they are free. Notices like "free to distribute for noncommercial use" or "free for personal use" are often included. Now, i don't intend to sell the pdfs i make, but i might offer a pod/print service that would constitute a 'commercial' use...

I'll go over the acidfonts site tomorrow.

Any suggestions are welcome. But please, i've got like dozens of font sites already bookmarked, so unless you're suggesting a specific font, please abstain from providing font sites (I do know how to use google ;-)

Just out of curiosity, how did you happen to end up with those two fonts? I can't imagine anyone paying out $212 each for them...

American prices at www.adobe.com are certainly quite a bit cheaper than the British prices -- CA is $95.99 and Serpentine is $135.99. MVB Celestia Antiqua is only $79 from MVBFonts.com.

I know in the case of Serpentine, it came with one of my Adobe apps from some years ago.

Actually, i have payed almost $500 for a couple of fonts, this includes:
- Pterra
- Celestia Antiqua from Adobe (better licensing)
- Scala Sans also from Adobe (again better licensing)

For the last two i have the ability to use them in commercial publication in both electronic and print, i am allowed to embed the font in a pdf (this wasn't allowed if i bought it from MVB). Pterra needs an extra license if i want to use it in a publication that i ask money for.

Serpentine i don't have a lisence for yet, but i'm digging around in some of the font libraries at work (which i can't use for personal publication of course). That's the reason why i asked if someone had a better idea than using Serpentine...

One thing i'm pretty pissed off about is that Adobe doesn't allow his european customers to buy the american priced fonts, but only the european priced fonts. The price difference is around 25% ($131 or €161), i have to pay the european prices :-(
