For Those Who Finished The Witchfire Trilogy

Azure Trance

First Post
... what did you do afterwards? Continue to tramp around Corvis, creating new NPCs along the way? Adventure north to Caspia, Khador, or your original homebrew? And how was Alexis handled after the trilogy - forever disappeared, or appearing again every once in a while as a neutral / good / demented character? It seems like such a large plot to follow with important NPCs, but what are you supposed to do after it's over and there's no clear road to follow?

Privateer Press needs to come out with some more adventure modules, 'n quick.

but what they need to do even more is finish the consarn campaign setting book! by the by, has anyone picked up lock & load yet? thoughts? is it worth picking up or should i just wait a few months until the aforementioned setting book is eventually released?

Lock and Load is definately worth it if you are in need of official material and are running an IK campaign. Even if you aren't, it is a steal for the price.

Tons of crunchy bitz that could be applied to any world. There may be some overlap w/ this and the Campaign Guide, but, as I said, it is an absolute bargain.

And yes, although the wait for new Privateer Press material is agonizing, keep in mind that all of their staff have 'real' jobs, and they do their d20 work on the side.

Given that, their products continues to amaze me in its content and high production values.

Campaign Setting...new adventures...

...would all be a treat, yeah. The Lock'n Load primer was water on the mills, but I'd really LOVE to have some more material...not that it's not enough to run the adventures by now, and in style...but the setting and the quality of the books have me hooked for more.

And although I have just started the trilogy with a small group of players, I'm already pondering what to do with a group of 7th-8th level characters who survived Alexia, chased the Skarn out of Corvis and defeated a tyrant...probably will send them on a rescue mission for Scyrah, the elven goddess of fertility and spring. :D

Edit: Thou shalt not misspell the name of a goddess *slap*

More Than Enough...

If you have all of the Privateer Press IK materials, you have more than enough to create a campaign. The Monsternomicon, the Character Primer and the Witchfire Trilogy give plenty of background that can be fleshed out into a full campaign. Just use your imagination...

I am currently working on a campaign where the Orgoth are going to return and try and reconquer Immoren. The PCs will try and unite the Iron Kingdoms to stop them. I think there are plenty of hooks and adventure ideas in the materials for anyone to create a campaign (or adventure) to remember.

Cool idea..about unification...

Lock'n Load is a very cool book.
I too loved the Witchfire Trilogy and eagerly am awaiting more IK stuff. Witchfire did more to spark my interest in D20 than any other single set of adventres. The Return To The Temple of Elemental Evil came out....it Hooked me even more...maybe not being able to read it (my DM Nabbed my copy til we finished it) had something to do with it as well.

Say...

...how about making this a thread for ideas for IK campaign or adventures? Might give PP something to work with for future books...although I'm sure they don't need so many ideas ;)

i guess my worries about lock & load are two-fold. first, owning the monsternomicon as i do, won't i find much of the treatment of races and prestige classes re-hashed? secondly, once i buy the campaign setting [i'm hoping it'll be out before the revised core rules in july but...] won't all the material be repeated?

not rehashed .....they did a nice job of giving you more options with those monsters and allow some of them to be player characters.
i hate to say this ..Try it you might like it .....Or at least read a little before you buy it.
