Forbidden Kingdoms 2nd ed

So does anyone know when the 2nd printing of Forbidden Kingdoms will hit? Good book but my friends, after looking through my copy, will not buy it due to typos, spelling errors, blank white pages, and a feeling that this was a rush job.

I like it and am looking at ways to incorporate some of the classes and martial arts into normal D&D.

Considering that the GMs book and the 3 announced supplements have not been released yet, a 2nd edition is faaaaar off, in my estimation. It is sad that games are released in such shoddy conditions that people are calling for a 2nd ed. before even a single supplement comes out... I just hope that OWC learns from their mistakes, and from what I've heard, they seem to be getting better (or they claim to... nothing new has come out to judge their claims.) I want to know if I can trade in my copy for the 2nd ed when it does come out...

PS: putting the Martial Arts rules into D&D would utterly break the system... for the cost of 1 feat, it makes every skill point you spend as powerful as a Feat.

It's a shame about the quality...

I was sooo intrigued by this product. I hesitated to buy it 'cause of the price. I had hoped reviews would be good--it would have been a nifty change to run a little d20 pulp game or so. Glad I didn't buy it though... Sigh. And it was quite well "packaged" too it seemed (size, cover, format).

I hope OWC acts quickly and re-releases it cleaned up, then maybe I would consider it for my d20 collection! :)

we've been using a base of Pulp Heroes from Poly with a bit of CoC and Weird Wars for rules on guns and all sorts of stuff.

Whats worked best for you guys/gals?

We have FK and frankly was a bit disappointing from my standpoint (graphic designer and die RPGer) we ended up not using any of, one of the sources mentioned above always has a better more concise rule that works.

I don't think a re-release would help much. Really.

Sure, some of the blatant hose-ups like the expert (for which there is errata on the OWC site) will be incorporated.

But many of the problems with the system Hyrum at OWC has taken the Simbieda-esque "problem? what problem?" attitude about. On this very forum, in fact. For example, when someone question the fact that most of the core skills are retained AND FK introduces new redundant skills, Hyrum just pronounced that this was because he has a real problem with the skills in the d20 system. Okay, fine, you are allowed to change it, but a skill system that does work would be nice.
