Forgotten Realms DM Screen

Does anyone know anything about it? Is it going to be just like the first WotC screen? Or is it going to have a lot of FR stuff on the inside? I realize the front will be different. I'm interested in the tables and stuff on the inside.

I'm wondering about this product too. I do really like FR, but I can't quite figure out why I need an FR DM's screen. Will there really be that much more Realms specific info on it?

I would love to hear exactly what this thing is all about. If it's just a 3E DM's screen with a new picture on the front, I'm afraid i'm gonna have to pass!

What I've heard...

From what I've heard the screen have tables that from the Player's Handbook that were not included in the core DM Screen, as well as some FR Specific tables. It will also include region specific random encounter tables for quick DM reference....

I've always thought DM screens, though sometimes nice, are just an easy way to make a few bucks with a minimum of effort. Take some pre-existing art and tables slap into onto some heavy cardboard and voila! a $10 product that only costs you $2 to manufacture and took two interns a day to layout....

I totally agree. I usually make my own screens using InDesigns and print them out on contact paper. I then attach them to my old 2E Screens.... voila! I've got my own tailored screen.


I will buy the FR Screen because of the Random Encounter Charts though

I'll be buying it, for the random encounter charts. And the first Dungeon Master Screen is beginning to fall apart at the bottom corners. Irritating, that.

IMO there are few RPG screens which are really usefull "inside",and the D&D screen isn´t oneof them.
I think the FRDMS will also be a useless one.

I don't know what's going to be on it but I do know the old DM Screen is going out of print and the FR Screen is replacing it.

From what I understand the new screen is going to have some new charts and the like.

I use Angramanboob's sheets anyway 'cause they rock!
