I would say so, I am now just gonna buy books I think (unless it is something I really really like) that has stuff that wouldn't be in DDI (like rules). It also has allowed me to get what I want from books I wouldn't have bought anyways so stuff like monsters from adventure supplements.

So not only is it saving me money but giving me stuff I normally would have to buy but wouldn't.

Looks like I am the only one to have voted that it is making me spend more.

I love the info that I get from insider but the problem is that I love owning the hardbacks. So the fact that I have the info for the books then tempts me to buy the hardbacks so I am spending more then I would have done previously.

I still spend a ton on physical books because I love the dead tree format. DDI is awesome, but I tend to absorb the info easier when im laying in bed reading through a book.

I do spend less, but not because of the DDI. Mostly it is because I have elected to go with 4E, and WotC has made sure that I don't have too many options to spend on 3rd party books (in fact, my WotC purchases have been slightly down because of this).

I bought dragon every month, and dungeon every couple. So that money is just paying for DDI. I still buy as many books as I ever did. I mostly get DDI for the mags. I don't use most of the other tools, although I do look things up on the compendium from time to time.

I use third party info and books, and that isn't in the online tools, so I don't use them for a lot.

I buy a lot of books, just like I did before my annual DDI sub. But I do enjoy knowing they're supported in the Character Builder, Compendium, etc., so that I can easily use info from them electronically. Makes it much easier for me to use the material in game having the electronic version, too.

I put spend less, for now... I haven't bought P1 or P2 adventures, nor have I bought as much 3PP stuff but these are more because of the economic situation, not DDI.

(I am also running SoW right now, so I am not rushed to buy all the adventures yet. ....yet.... because I am a sad, sad, RPG addict.)

I spend about the same as I used to. I skip over books I don't have need for, and the adventures. I bought H1 but nothing further, I don't see the need for them in my 4E gaming (which is almost exclusively RPGA LFR). I but the player option books and the ones that interest me (open grave is my favorite 4E book at the moment).
