Forsaker needs to go Plane hopping

Talk to your DM. Say, "hey dude, I don't want the penalties, is there some way that an enemy could get me to the plane vie offense?"

So, the GM uses Prsimatic Spray and just happens to roll a 7 (target sent to another plane) and you just happen to roll a 1 on your will save.

1)If the plane is a hospitable one, then just sit in town for a week.

2)Suck it up, your forsaker is still mildly good (kinda like a lv 3 fighter/lv 10 warrior:D )

3) Tell ur DM that if it doesn't have any plot relevance, find a portal that isn't technically magical:rolleyes:

4) Or... next time, don't play a forsaker

I never really got how a forsaker could work with a party, seeing as how the party is usually carrying around a motherload of magical items, especially by level 13

I say pull the A-team trick on him. Knock him out, transport him, and let him recover for a week to regain his powers before venturing outside. There are safe havens on most of the planes.

Someone else can do the Dukes of Hazzard. I'm sure it'll involve compound bows (+3 enhancement), and fire burst arrows.

Actually I was thinking more along the lines of Three's Company. Most DM's I know will allow a Forsaker to temporarily use magic without penalty as long as he pretends to be gay while doing it.

Planescape

We played in a 2nd Ed. Planescape campaign and brought it over to 3rd edition It has non magical portal that are more space/time continuum things. Even if you DM does not want to use planescape he can use these non-magical portals.

Rule 0 the portals and have fun.

BIGLOU

the forsaker can travel with a magic laden party as it specifically says that good forsakers can tolerate their companions while hunting down evil magics...

otherwise they can cast whatever travel spells they want on him but he has to try and resist them.

Option 1.
Have them fight a baddie from said plane and the baddie casts a spell and (you fail your SR check) that forces the party into the new plane.

Option 2.
You find a portal and want to destroy it (because it is magic) and in the process of destorying it, the magic explodes and send you to plane X.

But I have a few questions that I just can not get out of my head.

How can you be a Fighter 3/Forsaker 7? Isn't that a little low to qualifiy? (I guess that the DM made an exception for you.)

How can a forsaker be a member of a party of spell casters and/or magic item using characters? (I don't think they can, I would expect that your DM had to make an exception.)

If I am right about those two things, then I think the way to get your forsaker to another plane is pretty clear.

Human bonus feat, 1st level feat, 3rd level feat = prereqs for forsaker.

I'd say, eitehr try and find a naturally occuring portal, or just suck it up for a week. Only options I see.

Time for some psionics.. they're not magic.

They are spell like abilities and thus still count.

Actually, if you use the "Psionics are different" rule, then it could technically be allowed. Otherwise, they are the same as magic.
