Founding of a Guild (4e)

Isdar will search the clearing for any clues about the enemies they fought. Where do we go from here, Oak? he asks the warforged. It seems it is just us, and I fear there is little we two can do.

OOC: I'm having trouble seeing Isdar go on at this point. There is little to be gained, as he sees it, and the risk is huge (as the 2 dead bodies and 1 grievously wounded artificer attest.) It seems like a good time for him to cut his losses.

OOC: Ditto for Oak. That's why I suggested escorting the wounded back to town. Pressing forward while the wounded go back alone just doesn't seem right.

Great, and some say I would be mad for looking for secrets between the void of the stars. I betting they never met one who has a plant on his back and tries to discern the secrets between growing weed, Malek thinks.
"If you have more to say, I will be here, just standing in this corner..." ...not that I have much choice.

"Hey, you! Can I get something to drink? You know, water. Gulp, gulp." The tiefling calls at the nearest lizardfolk, gesturing wildly.

The warforged raises his head again, inducing motion over his plant again. "I was walking back to my new home, when the lizard-like-men attacked me. They hurt me. I faint somehow... The next thing I remember is been surrounded by corpses of these lizard-like-men, bathed in a red coloured liquid, and tided with ropes. The other lizard-like-men hurt me with their spears until I got unconscious. " The warforged stared at the tiefling for a moment before turning his attention back to the weed.

OOC: Oops. I missed that post amongst all of the sblocked ones not meant for our eyes. :p
Then yes, Isdar agrees.

-You find that, indeed, it seems possible to pass the wall of trees south of the area by going in the pool of water and under the roots of trees. There should be space to breathe
-there's definitely something hard buried under the moved dirt by the tree.
-It seems that, despite the dangerous encounter you just had here, the area is not shunned, since there are signs of recent (and frequent) passage of humanoids.

[sblock=ooc]I'm assuming you take 10.... Anyway, guys, do what yo want to do here, and when you're finished, give me an OK to go back to Sombar[/sblock]

It doesn't take much to dig out a small chest, made of wood and crudely carved.
Oak recognizes some of the motives, that remind him of a ritual of some nature-worshipping cultures, that involves offering precious objects to natural spirits to beriend them. Some of the figures on the chest may resemble dragonborns,or lizardfolk, and one is similar to the strange plant-covered humanoid you fought before.

Once opened, the chest contains some items, clearly not of the same craft as the chest's:
-Two vials filled with a bluish fluid.
-four small precious gems, finely cut.
-a pair of elegant black gloves with golden weaves

[sblock=voda and ata]"Hey, you, big one. With the plant on the back. Judging by your story, you seem to be a capable warrior. Are you content with watching weed until they will kill us? Or will you help me to escape?" Malek whispers at the warforged, trying to get 'his' attention.

The warforged raises his head again. His inexpressive round green eyes focus on the tiefling once more.
"It is a good appreciation organic. My body was built to fight, so I have good skill with my greataxe. But..." the forged showed it's empty hands "They took it away from me. I can help you if you have a plan to escape. I'm still not particulary angry with the lizard-like-men right now. I'm comfortable here, but I understand this condition wont be sustained for long." the forged concludes.
He stares back to the plant again.
