Pathfinder 2E Foundry

There are some great YouTube channels with content for Foundry modules. I don't want to link directly to anything (I think that was recently discussed as frowned on here...), but the Clay Golem and especially Lunatic Dice have great videos about content to make your PF2 games better.

I believe the issue with linking to content was mostly stemming from dropping links to clickbait videos with no context or discussion on why the video was being linked.

Lunatic Dice makes some fantastic videos on playing PF2e on Foundry. I have learned a ton from his videos, they're short and to the point too which is great! I'll have to check out Clay Golem, haven't heard of that channel. Skimming through, it looks to mostly be 5e content?

The Rules Lawyer has a great 3 part Guide to Foundry on YouTube, which is PF2e specific, and aimed at total beginners to Foundry.
I agree he has some good videos, but his videos are too long IMO. His Foundry walkthrough tutorial is just under 2 hours long, which is incredibly intimidating to someone considering the platform. A quick search of his other Foundry videos shows most of them being over 20 minutes, which again to me is far too long.

Lunatic Dice tends to make under 10 minute videos that are more focused on specific macros or modules so you quickly can understand the useful bits about them. To each their own, but I've learned a lot more from his videos.

EDIT: I see folks mentioned this guy above by name. Yeah, this here is the first in the series for Lunatic Dice:

There's a "new guy" (new to being 'the PF2E Foundry' guy), for the pathfinder folks out there, who's got some really good videos.

He's recently done 2 D&D videos also. But he's mostly a Pathfinder in Foundry guy.

Jump from that above video to the channel. Lots of different videos on his channel now, on the subject of Foundry for Pathfinder.

Do either of you subscribe to any patreons for access to modules? I'm looking at Ripper93's patreon and there's a lot of cool modules for $8.50 a month, any insight there?
While I've considered it, I don't. I use Ripper93's content that's non-commercial. I've looked at the other stuff and, right now, I don't see it. Now I have bought a fair number of modules from companies for both Pathfinder and D&D. I've found that to be worthwhile.

It's got a lot of cool stuff in there, but I go through down-periods of not playing, so I haven't been able to justify it, tbh. But I've been using naughty word like Levels for almost half a decade now. The free stuff is so damn good. But I've recently been getting deep into several games recently, so I might end up taking the dive on a few patreons in the near future. I'll post if I do.

That's the main reason I'm considering it. We play PF2e weekly and have played a handful of SF2e games as well for the playtest so it's not like I don't use my Foundry server. I might try it for a month and see how useful some of the modules actually end up being, as you said there's tons of great stuff available for free already.

Tell me how it goes! I feel like my groups have finally started to get it together when it comes to when we can game, so I might be doing stuff more regularly. Would be interested in seeing how it goes.
