[FR] Advanceing the Plot

In the FRCS it is stated that they plan on advanceing the plot two months FR time for every five months in real time.

so assuming the count began with June of 01 and the book stops the timeline at Midsummer 1372DR then:

So what has happened for those 8 months? Anyone know where I can find this info? I would like to know what cannon to dodge.

They are behind. After all the lay off's, etc what was written up in the FRCS is no longer true. Hopefully some time soon they will send out some updates but until then there isn't any.

There haven't been any game updates, its true, but if you go by the books, things are advancing.

The city of Shade just appeared in the campaign setting, but now that bit is resolved (somewhat) since the trilogy has been released. Lolth has gone silent in the new books about her, the Silver Marches have formed, etc.

Things are advancing.

IMC, a group of Banite Zhents from Balder's Gate are a major pain in the butt to the PC's. I am just about to have these Zhents purge Darkhold "off screen." The PC's may become involved when the Cyric-worshipping Zhentarim seek out the PC's as possible allies against the Banite Zhents.

So, just have it happen whenever you want. Its *your* world.

Yeah, I know. Its just that I really hate having the timeline in the source (novels don't count) be different from the timeline IMC and I know that is going to be a "BIG EVENT." Essentially the Zhents are going to "Nuke the planet from orbit" as "its the only way to be sure." This means they are going to kill everyone except the operatives they have placed in Darkhold as thier agents. Meaning if the PCs decide to be there at that time, they are going to be in danger. (the PCs are in good with the Darkhold Zhents) I can see it now: wyverns falling out of the sky as different skymages duke it out, Beholders methodicly zapping people, an effigy taking out a tavern and then heading for the temple of Cyric to redesecrate it with fire in the name of bane. The Banelars working thier way up from the depths. Caravans changing leadership overnight (no matter where they are). Manshoon and one of the beholders complaining about the cost of the whole operation. Sounds like good holesome fun.

I think I have set it up so my players will want thier characters to hang out in Darkhold as they have rested there and are working for the Zhents on a contract basis.
