[FR] Avatar trilogy...who says it's bad?

Well, of COURSE it is! If you were a worshipper of evil, would YOU want to worship a god with a name somewhere between a throat-clearing and a sneeze? :D

As for the Avatar Trilogy, I didn't like them myself and foudn them uninspired, for lack of a better term. They were purely for transition, and not to tell a story or get a point across, and the books suffered for this, to me. It suffered for lack of a theme. I can't remember the three people who did the books, but they were TSR writers at the time - "Richard Awlinson," as I recall, was a pseudonym ("All-in-one.")

I didn’t realised the time of troubles sought to explain the differences between 1st ed and 2nd. That’s interesting. I thought the novels by themselves where very good, witch is odd because im not big on fantasy books, especially the half assed TSR novels.
Want I am wondering is if there will be a series of books that seek to explain the change over from 2nd ed to 3rd ed. It would have to be twice as grand in scope as the time of troubles because the changes have been twice as dramatic. If there is such a book I bet you anything the shades will play a integral part. I swear they are going to develop into a large power group in the realms over the next few years.
Yeah anyway I though the time of trouble trilogy ROCKED!!!

I think the higher-up's have previously stated there will be no such 'edition crossover' books. However, the addition of the Shade kingdom is certainly being covered in the Return of the Archwizards trilogy (a good read as I'm currently in book II).
