While attending Gen Con, I was given an art print of the alternative covers for the upcoming Forgotten Realms books.

The left side of the print is the alternative cover for Heroes of Faerûn, while the right side is the alternative cover for Adventures in Faerûn. The alternative covers are available from local game stores.

There’s got to be a way of getting the alt cover from the lgs AND still get the digital dlc books from dndbeyond. WILD that they don’t come in the 126$ digital bundle….

If not in the digital bundle then I hope they will at least be available for purchase on their own?
WotC is trying to walk a fine line between promoting their digital service and not undercutting the LGS. That's what the alt covers exist at all. They're purely a gimmick to promote LGS sales, because WotC considers the LGS an essential part of the community ecosystem.

That's why the alt covers are LGS only. That's why buying digital copies of the physical books is just as expensive as buying the physical copies, and the only discount is if you buy the digital/physical bundles. They're trying very hard not to undercut the LGS price ...but they're still dipping their toe in digital only additions. Like I said, a fine line.

Yea and that’s perfectly reasonable. I just hope at the very least the digital exclusives are available for purchase on their own.
