Ill dig through my books and see what I can find. :) Which seems to be nothing. I dont think it's been detailed any where.

It has to have been detailed or it would not have gotten into the FRIA. It is probably burried in that ton of 2e stuff.

And indeed, the implication is there, IF you read between the lines. He is not offering "proof" of origin, because the whole thing is an implication; it makes allusions to but does not actually state either way.

I was just saying that the fact that worshipped the Egyptian pantheon itself isn't even an allusion to an origin from Earth, and indeed it isn't, not when there's just as much chance they came from campaign world X, where they also worship the Egyptian pantheon.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Probably. But, for the benefit of those among us who do not have the FRIA, could you give geographical markers of where those place names are to be found? It might make it easier to find if I knew just what part of Faerun (and accompanying supplements) I was supposed to be searching :)

Um not always. A lot of the maps in the FRIA were drawn and never showed up in sourcebooks. But as I said I looked though my realms material and didn't find a thing. I have most of the realms material also, unless it's in one of the 15 sourcebooks im missing I didnt see any info about it.

What 15 are you missing?

No prob. East of the Serpant Hills, West of the Battle of Bones, South of Evereska and the Forgotten Forest. Along the winding river, north of Skull Gorge and the hill of lost souls.

That should give you a good idea of where to look.

Aaron.

1) 8908, Gateway to Ravens Bluff
2) 9122, Bloodstone Pass
3) 9168, Mines of Bloodstone
4) 9185, Treasure Hunt
5) 9200, Bloodstone Wars
6) 9226, Swords of the Iron Legion
7) 9228, Throne of Bloodstone
8) 9262, Cities of Mystery
9) 9274, Old Empires
10) 9316, Night Watch in the Living City
11) 9388, The Shining South
12) 9391, Doom of Daggerdale
13) 9392, The Dalelands
14) 9519, Undermountain--The Lost Level
15) 9590, Kidnapped (RPGA)

I didnt include the 11 kara-tur and zakhara books that im missing either since I doubt it is in any of those books. :) So 26 or so total realms books technically.

No, the ones that are not obvious I own and they dont say anything.

Sigh.

I will keep my eye out. Perhaps it was in a Dungeon adventure?

Maybe, or a old polyhedron... I checked every thing I can find near there and dont see any mention of it.

Aaron,

First off, my apologies. I just discovered that you had already posted the general location of the Tor of Swords/Sword Grotto. I missed it in all the thread-hijacking going on. :D

Secondly, the third time, as they say, is the charm. After searching Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast and Prayers of the Faithful to no avail, the Demihuman Deities supplement proved to be the proverbial jackpot. From page 69:

"Major Centers of Worship: Endar Aglandtor, the Sword Grotto, is an abbey of the Luckmaiden hidden in a series of dwarf-dug caverns hewn from the base of a granite uprising known as the Tor of Swords."

There is another paragraph or so of information about the temple. Let me know if you don't posess DD and I'll summarize for you.

EDIT: added page #....
