Reading War of the Spider Queen now, on book 4, I have loved every bit of it so far, and Phaerrun is one of the moe interesting character, though I am more about Ryld... he is cool in a non-Drizzt way

I've really enjoyed both the Hunter's Blades and War of the Spider Queen so far.

Has anyone read Venom's Taste yet? Is it full of Yaun-ti goodness (or should that be badness? )?

I recently finished Venom's Taste. It was pretty good. It had a lot about yuan-ti and a surprising amount of psionics.

Maybe if enough people bash other products and bad writing on the WotC boards then other forums would be closed. Imagine that if people complained loud enough about errata they would close down forums about the core books

Looks like the authors need a thicker skin, and WotC needs tougher moderators.

No, Venom's Taste is the start of a new trilogy focusing on the Yuan-Ti and written by Lisa Smedman. There is one more rogues book after The Crimson Gold . Alas, my apologies, as the name escapes me right now.

Are these novels meant to tie-in with the upcoming Serpent Kingdoms? I thought I heard hearing something along those lines. It's earlier than I anticipated for their release though.

There is some tie-in. Many of the things you see in the novels might be featured in the gaming product (locations, prestige classes, powers, etc.). At least that's the impression I get.

I suppose it'd be too powerful, but has anyone made a jordaini prestige/class from Elaine Cunningham's books? She's probably the best writer, but she really doesn't pull anything from D&D and seems to write her own story and then adds FR cities after the fact.
