Free RPG Day at Green Ronin

Yup, same thing here. Tried a number of times to get the freebies downloaded, but was never able to get a good enough connection to do so.

Appreciate the offer Green Ronin, but you need a better delivery system. :\

Yeah, I spent a few hours trying, only to get nothing. Unfortunately, I couldn't try 8+ hours - family does come first, ya know.

Thanks for the offer though, GR. Maybe next year.....

It took a while, but I finally got the adventure -- and I've got to say, after a quick skim, it's looking really, really sweet. I've been on the bubble for a while about picking up these Bleeding Edge adventures, and I think this has finally pushed me over the edge.

Many thanks, Green Ronin!

I finally was able to get it about 1 am CST. Problems aside it was great of GR to offer up some cool stuff. I don't think they really anticpated the load they were going to get, just shows them how popular their stuff is. That and offering free stuff to gamers is like chumming the waters for sharks ;)

Wow, you said it, Gil. Our poor webmaster ended up having to work all day on his Saturday just to keep things running as the demand kept crashing our dedicated servers. We've never experienced anything like it in the existence of the company.

I hope it ends up being worth it. I'll be showing the M&M Beginner's Guide to some friends in an attempt to get them to pick up the M&M corebook, and I'll likely be picking up True20 after liking what I saw in the PDF!

A suggestion: Next year, treat Free RPG day as a weekend so that your servers could survive the fall out... that is assuming that all the traffic you would recieve would be distributed between two days. Unfortunately, your webmaster WILL hate the world come monday morning.

I'm glad I stayed up late Friday night and downloaded it as soon as I saw the free versions were available.

As for GR making money off of me I will buy the print version of the adventure eventually.

I will be using the M&M product to entice new people into M&M. (I already own, and play tested, 2E) As for True20 it may convince me to get the hardbound. Having other True20 products that are very appealing to me isn't hurting either.
