Freelancer: The High Seas IC

IC: when he realises that, Taloquar will begin randomly roaming the area, seeing if he picks up the 'go away shakr' vibe anywhere else ... might be a lead to their base, if he does.

OOC: seems that way ... not good, given that Thomas H and myself will be out-of-touch from the end of the week (as noted in the OOC thread)

While it would be nice to say that Thalia enjoys being amongst the natural world and doing wussy elven stuff like tending plants and talking to squirrels what she is actually mostly doing is sizing up branches and trunks and looking at what would make good knees and other structual formers for ship hulls.

OOC: Are they expected back at the ship anytime soon, or do they have a few days off?

Farear follows Thalia, poking at bushes and asking what this-or-that piece of greenery is, making the assumption that all land elves are druidic tree huggers who knew everything about the natural world. He also wistles alot, off-key.

Well, the pay was for the one way trip to the colony, so techincally the characters can stay on the island as long as they want.

But the ship leaves in a day or so.

"So what do you fancy Farear*? Signing up for a trip back or seeing what we can find here. Currently that doesn't seem a lot, but dealing with the sea devils might just be worthwhile."

OOC: What are the rest of the company doing, those who were on the escort ship, do we know?

* And Ron as I presume he's followed us, unless he is still in the tavern.

"Hwell...." says Farear, pausing in thought. He raises up his left hand. "On the one hand, killing sea devils is always fun, and here's a good a place as any to get a regular job doing it." He grins savagely, then raises his right hand. "On the other, we might get one more chance on the way back, and we won't be stranded here until the next ship comes along. 'Course, that's more of a problem for you than for me...." he raises his webbed hands a bit more for inspection, and then drops them. "Unless you're looking forward to an extended ride on the H.M.S Farear to get out of this place, you're pretty much stuck if you stay, until the next ship comes along anyway." He smirks a bit. "You could always ask those big, strapping lumberjacks how often ships come."

waiting to hear the results of my last action :)

"randomly roaming the area, seeing if he picks up the 'go away shakr' vibe anywhere else"

Taloquar doesn't seem to pick up the "no shark" feeling, either the sahuigan went to far away or they aren't broadcasting it anymore.
