Taloquar returns to the shore, wildshaping back into human form, then walks slowly back along the beach, to find quarters in the town.

Taloquar enters town about the same time Farear and Thalia get back and they all meat up at the inn. None of them saw Ron or Tycho on their ways to the inn.

Taloquar fills in the others on what he has learned, adding,

"If the sahuagin make a habit o' stopping by t'cave of the old man, that may be our best hope o' trackin' them tae their lair. Always assumin', o' course, that that's what ye wanted tae do."
"

"I'm game. Of course we need to make this pay, we have to eat somehow - I'm alright for a bit, how about you two? Do we know if there is a reward or bounty out on them?"

OOC: She's not necessarily being mercenary, just practical.

"I can make ends meet f' a while, at least, lass. And I wouldnae be surprised if yon sahuagin had a bounty t'be paid on 'em. P'haps the locals can say for sure."

"excuse me" says a little boy about eight years old "but my parents boat was attacked by sahuigan and they took all the passengers for slaves to work on islands around here, only I managed to get back to--" but he's cut off as the innkeeper notices him talking to you and says "come now billy, you have to stop telling complete strangers this fib. As hard as it is to accept it, you must acknowledge that your parents were killed and go on with life, besides, what would the sea devils do with human slaves, where would they keep them? Go inside now, that's a good boy."

Then she turns to you, "sorry about that, his story is a very sad one, but he can't stop telling strangers about this story he's created. Now, would like some rooms for the night, or some food, and do you know who that man is, he doesn't seem to want to do anything but sit at a table and read dusty old books."

All the characters can she's pointing to Tycho who's sitting at a table in the corner reading.

"He's with us, fairly quiet type you know, but he's ok. You alright there Tycho?" Thalia turns back to the Innekeeper, "Room would be excellentm, food even more so. So what is the story with the child, does he live here now?"

Looks at the others, as if to say, "Well, might be worth checking out."

OOC: UBS??

IC: Taloquar orders a jug of a light-coloured ale, and leans back in his chair.

"The sahuagin are a strange breed, and I see nae reason they would no' take prisoners, if they had some need. I say we speak tae the lad, when t'chance comes."

"Maybe they need degenerate air breathing scum to do something on filthy hated dry land? What that could be I have no idea, and some it's something very unpleasent. But its a lead, so we might as well talk to the boy. No one has any compel truth suitible magic do they? I think we'll just have to talk to him and see if his story holds together."

"That reminds me, we were going to find out if there was a bounty on sea devils. Arh, can do that tomorrow. Right now, we have good food, good drink and, all, if not quite right with the world, is pretty satisfactory in the short term."
