I'm always on the lookout for good and free D&D utilities. What freeware tools have you found? Basically, I'm looking for anything that could be used to help a player or DM, whether it's made for D&D or not. Could be something that's downloaded and installed or something that's used online.

I like 3eProfiler (the original site is no longer functional, but the code has been passed around and you can find 3eProfilers all over the place), PCGen, and OpenRPG. What other utilities have you guys found?

You can check http://rpgsheets.com for free stuff...
My Excel Character Sheet is free only for low levels Characters.

For online play: http://rptools.net/

Requires Java, but they are awesome. An incredible map program where the DM "hosts" and the players connect. the DM controls the map and it can fully simulate a D&D gaming table with miniatures and whatnot. It has chat built-in and some simple die rolling to help facilitate play. There is also a seperate die rolling program for more complex rolls and a program to create tokens for using in the map program.

Try it!
