Frenzied berserker fair or not???

The FB is "balanced" by the fact that successfully integrating one into a group is tough work. It requires special tricks and tactics to work, and still runs the risk of some trap nailing the FB, who then Frenzies and kills the wizard before someone can stop him.

But in terms of pure combat power, the class is broken.

So do most of you agree that it isn't really easy or fair to fight one as an NPC or to allow someone to make one for a PC?
I recommend DMs not to allow them as PCs and not use them as NPC. I recomend players to specificly ask thier DMs not to allow the class.

While I think there SHOULD be foes one can simply can not kill with HP damage, the damage output on the FB is so high the party will not have a chance to realize it.. The players won’t be thinking” We can’t hurt this thing, time to retreat!” Rather the ones in back will be saying “Oh crap, the fighter and cleric just died in round 2.”

Heh, I would suggest tearing the class out of the book to start a camp fire. :p It is one of the main reasons that I do not give WotC books a blanket 'okay' in my campaigns. Contrary to some folks opinions WotC comes out with just as much broken stuff as anyone else. (And to be fair, they also come out with just as much stuff that is freakin' brilliant.)

Forgive my question, I am not too familiar with the class and way too tired/lazy to go get my book. Can the FB still be killed by massive damage? (50 hp from a single attack) I know it is an optional rule and all.but still wondering.....I guess if I had them in my game i would house rule that maybe they can go -20 hp before dropping but not an infinite number.

Yes they can. Thier fort save is thier good save like barbarian though. +9 befor con bonus so if raging, +11 plus normal con mod. So a +13 or +14 should be common. Not reliable, though possible.

So you believe that I should just leave this class alone so I am not required to throw one at the PC's if they would roll one up because more than likely in the end it would just be the two FB's going at each other while everyone else is dead.

FB is, imnsho, perhaps the single most broken prestige class WotC has published. (Unless you count the pre-errata ninja of the crescent moon.)

Yes. Just ban the FB and both you and your PCs will be happier in the long run for it.
