Frenzied Berserker too dangerous ?

The subdual damage is not a drawback in most cases. You'll almost certainly recieve damage anyway. Then any healing that goes against the damage will remove the subdual too. However, without access to healing magic, his AC and subdual damage will hurt badly. Perhaps, no matter the CHA, leadership is good feat for Frenzies so they can a character concerned solely with buffing and healing them.

Yep you have to actiuvate it, so no involuntary fenzies for anyone but the berserker him/herself.

This class is just too cool, especially since it stacks with rage. We are all famailiar witht eh 20th min/max scenario so here it goes. 10th level barb./10th level frenzied berserker, 1/2 orc. 20 str start 5 from level enhancements, 5 inherent from a book, 6 from belt of str= str 36, now this guy rages and frenzies 10 from frenzie, 4 from rage barb for a +14 to str 14+36=50 str or +20 to hit/+20 or 20 damage. Now he power attacks wasting 10 bab giving him a +30 to hit without magic or weapon focus he gets attacks of +30/+30/+25/+20/+15 for assuming a spiked chain 2d4+50. Or 30 from str 10x2 from his special version of power attack. Make him a barb 6/fighter 4/frenzied berserker for specialization and assume a +5 weapon and it is 2d4+57. Ouch!!! I want to make one.

Note this isn't a full on min/max just a rough one to amke an example.

Don't forget their Supreme Power Attack at that level. Burning +10 off the attack bonus would give them another +20 to damage, not +10.

I sooooo Want to have a look at Frenzied Berserker.... I can't wait to have the book shipped out here... I hate having to wait for the books in Australia. One of the only disadvantages of living down here.

It sounds so right for my Character.
He's a 5th Barbarian/3rd Fighter with a Frosty, Keen Great Axe that make Bloodicles... High in Iron

The description of Frenzy (bottom of page 59) says: "The effects of frenzy stack with those from rage." So that's +10 to Str and -6 to AC (-2 from Rage, -4 from Frenzy).

Unless there is forthcoming errata it does stack. It specifcally states rage stacks with frenzie in one of the 1st paragraphs describing frenzie.

Wow... I hadnt stopped to think about very well... I mean a Str 20 character becomes a 30 Str character this way. We are talking Frost Giant str ? Pretty abusive... especially with supreme power attack like someone said.

AC ? What AC ? Especially if he charges first round too !!

Is everyone forgetting that the berserker has to make a difficult Will save to come out of his frenzy? He won't have many friends left if he keeps killing them all. Where's your cleric lovin' now, huh?
