[IMAGER]http://www.skeletonkeygames.com/images/logo_top.gif[/IMAGER]This week's Friday Five is Ed Bourelle from Skeleton Key Games:
Give us an overview of your product line(s).
[bq]e-Adventure Tiles is currently the only product line that SkeletonKey Games produces. These PDF sets consist of 15 to 30 square or rectangular tiles of various gaming terrain (Dungeons, Caves, Wilderness, etc). Just print out the tiles that are needed and arrange the sets in an endless variety of configurations, from a small encounter area to a full table top dungeon or wilderness area. Every set of e-Adventure Tiles connects with at least a few of the other sets.[/bq]
Tell us at length about your most recent project (upcoming or just released).
[bq]The most recent addition to the e-Adventure Tiles line are the two tower sets, RoundTowerand Wizard’s Tower. The Round tower is the base set for all the upcoming tower sets, it contains everything to construct a basic tower with living quarters of various qualities, a kitchen, living area, stable, dungeon and rooftop. The Wizard’s Tower expands upon the Round tower by adding arcane themed areas including summoning chambers, a warded entrance, an alchemy lab, library, scrying chamber and wizard’s quarters.[/bq]
What is your main target audience and how much of a spread beyond that do you feel is likely, first for your line(s), then for your most recent?
[bq]e-Adventure Tiles are primarily a game master’s tool. They are visual aids to ad depth and detail to an adventure and help set the mood for players. The recent tower sets could be useful to players that are interested in building a stronghold for a higher level character. Characters in my campaign are preparing to defend a tower that they took control of from an approaching hoard of undead. In this case, it started as a GM tool that was passed on to the players.[/bq]
What is the main thing about your company that makes you most proud?
[bq]Hopefully I’m not having delusions about this but I feel that SkeletonKey has a reputation for providing some of the best quality map graphics on the market. I’m very proud of the quality of work and plan to keep improving.[/bq]
Where do you see your company one year from now?
[bq]A year from now the biggest changes will be the addition of two new product lines. One will be a fantasy series of urban buildings with details of all levels from the basement to the rooftop. Users will be able to link the building sets together to build large multi-level urban environments. Some of the e-Adventure Tile sets will be compatible with the urban buildings as well, such as the Coliseum and the tower sets. The second new product line will be our first d20 product, featuring detailed locales based on e-Adventure Tiles and the urban building line. e-Adventure Tiles will also be getting some modern and sci-fi sets in the coming year.[/bq]
