Friend just got Spell Compendium!! Here is what I know...

Ok, here is what it says in the Spell Compendium about sources:

About 20 articles from the Wizard’s web site

It does not include the core books. That was a surprise. However, I guess the goal is to provide a way for a player to go to a game with just the PHB and this book.

It does update some of the older spells to 3.5. For example, Silverbeard now specifies that the AC bonus is a sacred bonus. It has also been changed from touch to personal and the duration is reduced.

A bunch of named spells have also been renamed. For example, Simbul’s spell matrix is now spell matrix.

I saw it for sale and I might evetually get it but that's a big price tag for just a bunch of spells.

Amazon baby! I might wait until after Christmas to get it but it is only 26 dollars or so.

I am really looking forward to purchasing this even though I have several of the sources that are listed.
