The people you game with...

Would you have considered them friends before you started gaming?

Or is your group comprised of strangers?

I've for the most part only gamed with good friends. I participated in a couple of gamestore games, but some friends from my regular group were there as well..

I game with good friends. Some I've known as long as 14 years and others just a year but gaming with friends is so much better then gaming with strangers.

I've always gamed with people I already know.

I can understand gaming with strangers if you desperately need people, but it always seems to me like it would just bring more problems in that you don't KNOW the person like you (hopefully) know your friends.

QFT

Although, I have made lifelong friends from running the only FLGS game in my life, so that worked out pretty well, too. :D

The best way to make new friends is to regularly game with strangers. :D

I once tried gaming with strangers...

It's just too much work in my opinion... a lot of them were just... weird.

Finding people who aren't seemed like too much work.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Out of every table of six strangers, I've usually found one fantastic player who've I wanted to keep in touch with. I've met several of my best friends this way. Between RPGA games at conventions and EN World game days, I've met close to a hundred people who I think are incredibly frikkin' cool. I'm richer for knowing them.
