D&D General From Another Edition

How's your work on spell points coming along?
Not great! My personal life has taken priority from pursuing my career for most of the past couple of years.

I have got the general shape of things: spells and spell levels work largely according to 5e, and each spell level has point costs for free/fixed and minor/major; spells will be arranged in spell lists, similar to Cleric Domains or Rolemaster's magic systems, and I may or may not have a system for "prepared" magic based on the spell lists.

Big change is that I'm temporarily no longer trying to attach this to TSR D&D. I'm working on a retrogame that's sort of a grand tour of the state of the art of Non-D&D FRPG design between 1995 and 2005. Mostly trying to triangulate between Sword World, Palladium, and HARP.

Oh, I thought you were trying to attach it to PF/3e

Ive been reading previous edition fluff and converting 3.5 stuff.

Netheril focus so Lords of Darkness, Lost Empires of Faerun, Serpent kingdoms.
I’ve been acquiring 3e’s fluff for future use in 5e. There’s a supplement called Spells of Antiquity on DMsGuild that converts a lot of 3e spells to 5e standards.
