I have allways wondered if anyone has made up new guns for use. I am making a campaign were a ship from another futristic planet crashs near a small town and the adventurers go to check it out were they are attacked by aliens with futristic guns. (please contribute to this thread with anything on aliens you like).

Tale of the Comet is another option.

The first half is pretty much as you describe, with a ship with two fighting factions of aliens crash landing on the PCs world. The PCs have to help the good guy aliens against the bad guys.

The second half, they get to go back with their new allies to help them with their struggle.

. It looks like a lot of fun, and I'd love to run it some day.
