From Stone to Steel

From Stone to Steel is, quite frankly, one of the best gaming weapon supplements I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

It's out of print now, but the book is worth every freakin' dollar you pay for it. Instead of taking a normal fantasy equipment approach, this book shows you, with 3.5 mechanics, real weapons from history and ancient history. There is much description about these weapons giving the GM all the info he needs to complete understand these weapons.

It's an amazing book.

Don't know how legal this is, but I did a google, looking for a hardcopy, and, boom, this popped up on the second hit:

(Removed at poster's request)

A person on another forum said that this was legal because it's "Open Content". I dunno. I do know that e23 doesn't have it any more.

Looking at my copy of S2S, it appears that the only thing that isn't designated as open content is the artwork; the pdf contains that artwork and therefore the posting of that link is a violation of the owner's copyright.

(nvm, didn't notice that the link was already removed.)

So... if I were to find a... pictureless version of this PDF, that would be legally a free download/open content?

I don't want to perform something illegal, but I'm tight on money at the moment, so I wanted to be certain.

It's not illegal to tell you to google "From Stone To Steel Monkey god" and note the second hit.
