The malasynep art looks more like the Zuglodon to me.

Maybe they got switched. The first one looks a bit more fiendish.

Also consider that the art gallery is usually larger than what actually made the cut for the books. Have to wait and see what got dropped.

Hmm - I'm not too enthused by the chapter titles, but perhaps Chapter One has a lot of interesting information in it that will make it better.

I really like the art here. Really, and your right Crabapple is improving! (Still better then what I can do....)

I do like the look of both the Malasynep and Zuglodon.

Meh, I'll pass. Contrarily to Deities & Demigods or Draconomicon, there's nothing here that makes me want to buy it just for the pictures.

I sure hope so, because I find that elves are underexploited in D&D. There are so much material that could be made about them! And a new elven subrace is greatly welcomed, a little diversity is always good!

Just in case that's not sarcasm (it would be if I said it ), I suspect Races of the Wild will have more elfishness (including subraces) than even the most ardent elf fan can ever use.

If anything, it seems there will be several types of dwarves at whom we can only try to shake sticks. Most likely there'll be a frosty version of the core races with one or two minor changes a la UA's environmental races. There's even a human varient (Neanderthal)!

Looks good - I wasn't thrilled with the concept, but it looks better now (pun sorta intended).
