Great... Thanks, but no thanks... I did this the last few times with WotC and got burned (please, not frostburn jokes...), so I think I will just sit here and relax with my other winter books and donate my money to them when the Book of Bad Latin comes out...

Yeah, I had every intention of buying this, but now...meh. I've already got Frost & Fur, which is pretty darn good.

Dangnabbit, I was hoping for some Ron Spencer art. Oh well.

Have to say, I'm feeling unsure about this book. Looks like a glorified "complete" book. I'll wait till it arrives in my FLGS, browse it, then make the call.

Well, now that the excerpt is up: what does everyone think?

I went from being 'really unimpressed' to 'I kinda want to buy the book now. '
I really like the PrC, the feats, and the new material. The new race and the new Goblin are nothing special, but not bad.

Wouldn't having a really loud voice be a bad thing in an environment prone to avalanches?

I had the same reaction, but I actually thought the new race worked well, which was a big surprise to me. Nice to see a non-wimpy fey race added to the game -- the Fey Feature over at the WotC site is all too ... too ... SOMETHING for me, I'm not sure what. The Fey should be weird and alien, and not so friggin' cute, for one thing.
