Frostburn looking good

WotC is also producing a d20 Modern supplement to Frostburn as well. I think it's known as Minnesota. :)

Is there any information about running entire campaigns in frigid regions, such as Iceland Dale in the FR, or winter-themed spells or class variants?

I went to my FLGS yesterday to get the MM3, and while I was there I looked this over too. Holy crap! It looks much better than I expected. It's now on the list of things to buy, whereas before I was thinking it prolly wouldn't be.

Ditto. And I was more than impressed with MM3. (actually it was that books take on the Kenku that did it for me).

October is going to hurt.

I held Frostburn and the MM3 in my hands at my FLGS Friday, and bought the MM3. I love it so far and have used the Arcane Ooze (which rocks) and the boneclaw, about 10 of them at once led by a death knight. That rocked as well. The MM3 is really, really good.

I checked it out at the store, and it was a lot better than I had expected. I bought Fury of Shadow instead, but Frostburn's on my list now.

Warning: Hijack!

Actually, I was quite unimpressed with the Kenku. The 3e Kenku are just crappy bird-men, with none of the interesting stuff from previous editions or the original myths.

What you want, then, is the Tengu from OA. The Kenku is a new creature, not a conversion.

OA tengus go in two versions, crow-headed or human-headed. They have the spells, spell-like ability, katana finesse, and sound imitation of previous editions.

I thought the sound imitation, the natual born thief thing, and the teamwork abilities were pretty neat. Which seemed to me to be he gist of the creatures. They were untrustwothy and misleading but always tried to make it look like they were helping. I liked the ally abilities the most though.

I think the 3.5 Kenku is a reimagining.
