I've reviewed Frost & Fur, so you can click on my link under my avatar to read about it.

Haven't seen Sandstorm yet, but I did enjoy Frostburn. Very good stuff, and a nice complement to F&F.

The only true wilderness guide, all others are pale imitations.

(diaglo, how'd you miss this opening?? You're getting slow...;) )
How anyone can try to impersonate diaglo and MerricB at the same time is completely beyond me... :D;)

Sssh, you'll blow my cover, it's like yin and yang, matter and anti-matter. If it goes off slightly, I'll likely to self-destruct. But don't tell anyone ;)

Really liked Frostburn.

Now that I've been through Sandstorm I'm very disappointed. It has to be the most page count padded WotC product I've ever seen. Some gems here and there, but lots of useless drek.

I was REALLY looking forward to Sandstorm, and the previews had me salivating. But I finally had a look at it a few days ago, and I must, sadly, agree. The worst part, IMHO, were once again the new pc desert races. Left me wagging my head in wonder. I had just browsed through the Races portion of the book, and was terribly disappointed at the treatment of Elves and Dwarves in the wasteland. The gist of the story is, they ain't to be found in the wasteland. Dwarves and Elves hate it, you see. Of course, in the world I'm working on one end of the desert says Humans, the other says Elves, and the northern middle says Dwarves. Little did I know. Guess I'll have to expend some imagination of my own to make them fit in my little world. But one the major draws of Sandstorm was right out the window.

The rest of the book failed to grab me, the swarms, the wasteland encounters, the adventures. Nothing. Bummed, but glad I didn't buy it sight unseen.
