Re: "A Funny Thing Happened at Carousel #5"

You don't get to watch any more Barbara Streisand movies. Nope. Not a one.

(shuddering with the tought of a game that is a take-off of "Yentl.")

Kidding.

That was a funny adventure. It made me laugh.

Is it normal that i didn't understand ANY of that?

In the 1971 (or 1972) movie "What's Up Doc," with Streisand and Ryan O'Neal, four people check into a Frisco hotel with bags that look alike. One has Streisand's character's cloths, one has O'Neal's character's rocks (that his character thinks cave men used to make music), one has jewelry and one has top secret government files. Lots of hyjinks and one liners ensue, as does a mad cap chase through the winding streets of Frisco. It all ends in a courtroom where the frazzeled judge turns out to the Streisand's characters father. Funny stuff.

"Howard Bannister's rocks. What are you doing with Howard Bannister's rocks?" - Howard's fiance, Eunice Burns (Madeline Kahn)

"Don't touch me, I'm a doctor." - Hugh Simon (Kenneth Mars)
"Of what?" - Judge (Liam Dunn)
"Music."
"Can you fix a hi-fi?"
"No."
"Then shut up!"

"Love means never having to say you're sorry." - Judy (Barbra Streisand)
"That's the dumbest thing I ever heard." - Howard (Ryan O'Neal)

Gee, I think I saw that movie once or twice when I was growing up....

My favorite exchange from the movie goes something like...

"...she is going to end up all old and wrinkly."
"Everyone ends up all old and wrinkly."
"Yes, but by this afternoon?"
