I always enjoyed Rich Hall's "Sniglets" - words he invented to cover things that don't have a single word describing them. My favorite was "ufluation" - going back to look in the fridge time and again in the hope that some new food will have materialized.

I use that word all the time now, whenever I can't make up my mind about something and keep going back to look again in hope that I'll come to a decision.
