This is very poorly written. They really need some editor's over there.

Not sure why you say that, seems ok, maybe a few run-on sentences and an overuse of commas, but otherwise fine, what gives?

:p

There is no tone or direction. It seems to run together and they left out articles such a "The" in too many sentences. It reads as if Ben Stein was droning on about dry econ principles.

It's a quick-hit synopsis of a Gencon seminar, I think. It definitely reads more like a chat log than an article, but it has good info.

It reads like someone was taking notes into his laptop during the talk, and then sent the whole thing off to the company. It's neat seeing a little piece of gencon.

Sorry, man. My previous post was a poor attempt at a joke by emulating the style of the piece.

I totally agree with you. The piece needs to be edited. With extreme prejudice... :D

Well, that answered something I had been wondering about; whether or not the pre-3e articles in the Dragon Compendium would be converted. It looks like they are going to be. While I'm sure that's better for selling the product, I was hoping for the 1e - 2e articles to be preserved in their original format.

So, thanks for posting the link.

How about a break down for those who can't get there?

It looks like they'll be tying things in more with the existing D&D campaign worlds: GH, FR, and EB. That's the basic bit. It's actually a lot cooler sounding than that, but it's a long article and that's the jist of it.
