G.I. Joe Sigma 6??

The robot dog was incredibly dumb.

Totally agree. Makes the show difficult to watch when it is an important part of the plot. Luckily it seems to be ignored in at least some episodes.

I've seen them use the Native American Shaman guy...he can see through his hawk's eyes and has some other vague spiritual abilities.

Spirit. I was rather disappointed they make him talk like one of those Native American characters from the 50's/60's Westerns.

On the bad guy side, they brought back the Astralian gang...their name escapes me, but the leader is pretty cool, and some of them have lightsaber chainsaws, apparently.

The Dreadnoks. I've always enjoyed them. Larry Hama did a great job with them in the original GI Joe series. I thought they were hillarious there.

Meh.

I, too have mixed reaction toward this anime work. It could have been better. Scarlett doesn't look like she's old enough to drive nor look anywhere a sophisticated lady I'm used to envision her (based on the old series and V vs. V).

Agreed. I think she looks fine for a different character, but Scarlett needs took look much more tough and mature IMO.

Anyway. Anyone seen this thing? It's a far cry different than the G.I. Joe I grew up with.

I watched part of one episode. That's all I needed to see.

I never thought a G.I. Joe cartoon series could ever make me physically ill. :(

G.I. Joe should never be a bad anime cartoon aimed at the rabid pokemon fans. And I don't care if the kid is Hawk's son, he shouldn't be anywhere near a firefight.

Now, I don't hate anime, I just hate it when they take classic cartoon/comic series and twist them into an anime-style travisty like Sigma 6 and the new anime transformer cartoons.

It's "ALMOST" enough to make me NOT be a G.I. Joe and Transformers fan anymore.

Bleech!

It has been so long since I have seen the GI Joe series from my childhood, that I forget what it was like almost completely. I know this one is very different, but at the same time I can't say it is any worse. Just different.

As for Transformers... You do realize that ever since its very first TV incarnation, Transformers was animated in Japan and shown on Japanese TV, right? Many of the actual figures and characters of Transformers were based on mecha toys for anime titles like Macross (Robotech here in the US). In fact, more of the original Transformers TV timeline was shown in Japan than in the US.

It is not that Transformers have become more like anime, it is just that anime has changed over the last decade by quite a lot.

I have only seen a couple episodes of Sigma 6. I didn' t realize it tied into V vs V. IIRC Kamakura was in V vs V. Has he appeared in Sigma 6 yet?
Yeah, he's still part of the Ninjas Three (Snake-Eye, Jinx, and Kamakura). He just went from a green mask to a blue one.

Yeah, anime isn't what it used to be. I'm used to the style that made Robotech/Macross and Star Blazers. Today's anime got more manga influence like that big teardrop icon, super-deformed heads (One episode of Viewtiful Joe and I got a headache), etc.

Well said.

This is the difference between good anime and bad anime. :]
