Game Mechanics & Lore

Does it though? I watched it not that long ago and the only character I can honestly say that applied to is Bobby Singer, and he was "too old for this crap" the entire time he was on the show.
The game predates the last 10 (?) or so seasons of the show. It was more true early on, when Dad Winchester showed up and died, etc.

(How long is something a spoiler, by the way?)

Sam and Dean both get killed repeatedly and never stop going. Their luck constantly runs out and one of them or the other pretty much "pushes things too far" just about every season, but they're always back after some new and ridiculous adventure. Castiel kinda likewise but less extremely.

The only other character I can think of who it felt like they "ran out of luck" was Rowena, I guess.

Charlie. Even if the alternate universe version showed up later.

(In fact, one of the ongoing complaints about the show was that female characters, including theoretically ongoing ones like Jo and Ellen ended--badly).

Rightly so honestly - Charlie never felt like she ran out of luck either, imho, on the contrary it felt like the writers decided they needed a "shocking death" so just found a way to kill her which would never have killed a male character. More than once too.
