I agree with almost all of you.

Peter Dinklage is the show MVP to this point. I cannot imagine another perfect Tyrion. And the way he slapped Joffrey... not once, but multiple times. That scene initially gave us a glimpse into Joffrey's cowardly bullying, and then was confirmed in the scene with Sansa, Arya and the Butcher Boy.

I like how complex all the characters are, and even just a few words from the Hound gave you an idea of what he is like.

They are doing an excellent job compressing a lot of inner dialogue into visual experiences and keeping the script and direction tight.

Really quite amazing so far.

Lena Headey is great as Cerci although I felt the conversation she had with Cat in last nights episode was an odd choice. It didn't really serve to make me like her more, and knowing what I do of the story it really makes 0 sense to take up screen time with it.
Aside from showcasing Cersei's manipulation, it also foreshadows future revelations in the incest plot (note her description of the child she lost).

Great episode, with no letup in tension. One big difference is
how Ned Stark isn't that central to the story. I think if you're a causal viewer you kind of can feel he's gonna ... you know. In the book, that part took me by surprise and made me go WTF???

Yeah, I got that as well.
Especially when he tells Jon Snow that they'll talk about his mother the next time they meet. What next, is he going to mention that he's three days away from retiring?

- Joffrey getting bitchslapped by Uncle Tyrion. :D Hah! Never gets old.

No Doubt! That was Awesome!

I also liked the conversation between Tyrion and John when they made camp on their way to the wall - when he answered why he reads books.

My mind is my weapon, so I read books to sharpen it. Just like a sword needs a whetstone. (or something like that...:o)

Classic. Peter Dinklage is definitely stealing the show.

Ok, come on, admit it, you all cried like blubbering babies when Lady was killed.

Also, it occurred to me that the reason for... err... upcoming events, was perhaps mystically tied to this event; one must always remember that this is still a fantasy series, no matter how well grounded it may appear. A curse? A punishment for ignoring or defiling the old gods? Something to think about.

Dinklage as Tyrion is so spot on, I can't even imagine someone else in that role.

Agreed, incredibly good. Not surprising, in that Dinklage is an amazing actor: when I first encountered him in The Station Agent I was blown away.

It likely sounds insensitive but I'll say it anyway: I totally forgot about his dwarfism about 1/4 of the way into The Station Agent and was actually surprised later when someone mentioned it. Such a good actor.

His Tyrion totally made this episode for me.

When I heard that Dinklage was rumored to be cast for Tyrion, I went out and rented Station Agent as well. Such a great performance, and I certainly agree that you forget about his size while watching him act.
