Game of Thrones Sneak preview

Wow. Just.....wow. They did the prologue and part of Chapter 1: Bran mixing in some other perspectives.

The actors are perfect. Eddard Stark, Bran, Anya, Jon Snow.

The prologue piece was spot on for th screen. I never thought they could translate this story to the screen, but my critical, yet optimistic self gives them 5-stars for the sneak preview.

HBO, as usual, comes through. How dare I doubt them. Oz. The Wire. The Sopranos. Rome, Deadwood, Carnival, Big Love. Entourage. Larry Sanders. The sports specials, etc.

I absolutely KNEW they would do GRRM right. 10 screen episodes to do the first book? I bet next season gets 12-16 episodes per book.

Definitely my most anticipated show this year. Even more so than any of the Marvel/DC comic book movies we're gonna get bombarded with this summer/winter.

It does, indeed, look well done. It also doesn't look as if it will feel rushed. Though some might counter its sombre nature is going to make it feel a bit slow, I'm liking this direction. I haven't read the books so I am not sure if that is true to the text, but it works for what I am seeing being presented thus far.

If they stay relatively true to the books, there will be action, make no mistake about it. And there will be shocking results at the most inopportune times.

Wow, that's fantastic. I'm excited -- I hope there will be a way to get it quickly for those of us who don't have HBO so we don't have to wait for the season DVD release.

Now get back to finishing the book, George.
