Both together? If not, then I vote supper together...since supper is an inherently better meal.

If we do supper together, a couple of people might have to cut out to ensure they get home on time (JC and Nico, I believe), but other than that, I don't see a problem.
Both together is probably fine, as well - as long as one of them is cheap.

So...cheap lunch and nicer dinner? Any suggestions in the area for dinner? I know some awesome places in Baltimore, but I suspect that's too far away.

There are lots of cool places in the Old Town area...
Southside - great burgers, unique combinations for the Club (who would have thought a crab club could be so good?), and their specality: The Virginia Burger (regular burger with VA Ham, BBQ sauce and cheese).
Union Street - neat little place... mesh of southern and NE style foods. Excellent Shepard's Pie and wonderful Po Boys.
Bertuccis (sp?) - italian place. It's a chain, but delicious.
Chadwicks - also a chain, but good food and a good selection. It's right on the river.
Founders - micro-brewery with the best nachos I've ever tasted. Good American food... it's yummy.
... that's what I've got for the moment - there really are SO many places, though...

There's also Hops, if you're into the Microbrewery, but we've all been there at least once, I think. There's also a Morton's Steakhouse in Crystal City.

While the food discussion continues, I just want to make sure:
We're all still on for this sunday afternoon? Right?
If I recall, a 12:30 gather time has been proposed, with some sort of communal eating happening for those interested. Supper will probably also be communal, but I believe that the idea is that lunch will be cheap and fast (burgers, subs, or something), and supper will be more elaborate and thus more expensive (but not ridiculous).
On an unrelated note, I've started the scheduling thread for the session that will follow this one.

As far as I know, this is still the plan. I believe we have the "thumbs up" from JC, Nico, Chris, Clarissa, Keaton, and myself for sure. I don't believe we've heard anything definate from Mik or Gertie, though.
