Before I begin, one of the ladies in our group is a vegetarian, so we try and be kind and not devour the fine flesh of animals in front of her.

Really? I've always taken the view that, if you're in my house, you should be prepared to see me eating meat, and relishing it. Seriously though, several of my friends are vegetarians, and while I make sure to have plenty of choices for them when they visit, no way would I refrain from eating whatever I pleased in my own house. But I can see, Harlock, that you're more polite than me. :D (Or maybe just less carnivorous.)

edit: I just re-read your post. Throwing meat? I guess you aren't more polite than me.:p

We usually make some popcorns or french fries, though when we occasionally get really hungry we cook some spaghetti (something light, garlic/oil or tuna). :D

Hey, I am Italian, after all. I don't trust your foreign poisons. :p

Man, that sounds good. I wonder if my group would like pasta putanesca? (Hope I'm spelling that right.)

For those of you who don't know, pasta putanesca is supposed to be quick, cheap and hot, like the prostitutes it is named for. The sauce has hot peppers, tomatoes, olives, anchovies and sometimes other stuff, such as marinated artichoke hearts, onions, mushrooms and what have you in it.

I try not to eat anything myself, but our group is known to snack on:
Beef jerky
chips and dip
cinnamon rolls
individually wrapped cakes
sweet tarts
hot pockets

Ok, when I've had a chance to game in the past I've usually had a lot of the following:

- Cola (any but diet)
- Chips (whatever's available)
- Hoagies/Submarine Sandwiches (Subway rocks!)
- Chocolate (Peanut M&Ms, Snikers, Fusion, Mr Big, etc)

And while I love pizza, it has never made it to a gaming session I've sat in on.

Now, I haven't had a chance to be a gaming table in a LONG time but when I get back to it (a.k.a. heal) then my gaming food habits will have to be different.

Mainly, no cola or chips and a whole lot less chocolate. (Gotta have my M&Ms though.)

Cheers!

We are a group of five players. Each time we play at another players home. Normally, we start with a nice dinner -cooked by the host- accompanied by a glas of wine -or two. After that, we start playing. One or two hours later, someone comes up with some cheese and fresh bread or crackers, maybe chips, sometimes grapes or whatever is at hand. Sometimes another bottle of wine...
That helps us to stay alive during some hours of gaming.

man I hate pizza nowadays...since I now work at a pizza joint...luckily the group I game with is nice enough to leave out the pizza lately

Hmm.... Game snacks. I've always been fond of:

Glenlivet
Fajitas with all the fixins
Any sort of oatmeal stout
Really, really big slices of pizza
An infrequent tequila shot or two
Grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches
