Kitana, Djeta...

At least you can actually DO something with your hair. I'm not into styling or anything, but it kind of annoys me that my hair is so frigging thick that if I grow it out past an inch it turns into a natural helmet. Hence, I have it constantly trimmed to 1/2 an inch. I've always wondered what I'd look like with long hair, but mine grows up and out instead of down. Seriously, my hair is so thick that I will NEVER go bald in my life, which is the only advantage therein.:) But then again...I look good with short hair. So I'm more frustrated than dissapointed.:p

I don't know about that...

I also think it's pretty natural for an activity based on being someone other than oneself to over-represent people with a developed sense of self-hatred. Such people will, naturally, be disproportionately drawn to RPGs just as they are to first person shooter video games.

I disagree with this. From my own personal experience (both with myself and with those I have gamed with) I don't believe that gamers have a higher degree of self-hatred than others. I think that love of gaming is just a stronger expression of the same phenomenon that makes people love fantasy or SF literature. You would be going out on a limb to say that fans of these genres have a high degree of self-hatred.

Could this be projection? Sorry, I just had to get it out there.
