But what about men in chainmail bikini's? No one wants to see that...

I tend towards the "dilbert" look. Button up short sleeved shirt (pocket stuffed with pencils), khaki pants and "velcro" sneakers.

It's comfortable in all weather, it's convenient, and suitable for school, hanging around, and formal gatherings (since I don't own a suit or tie)!

I did. For quite some time. Then one day I left it in reach of my three ferrets (all now deceased ) and that was the end of that.

They're expensive to replace, cloaks.

I am actually in the market for a chainmail bikini / outfit for Halloween / Ren Faire / Gen Con next year....wanted to post a thread here asking for suggestions as to where to get a one that would not drive me to bankrupcy...

Basically, think Johnny Knoxville (of Jackass fame; I.E. small, bright colored tees, too-small pants and jeans, Chuck Taylors, and various punk rock paraphanalia).

Thanks, if you could. I've looked online and everything either seems to be so cheap I question the quality or so expensive that I'd have to save for about a year or more to afford it.
