Where did you get that number Corinth? I'd love to read a more recent market survey.

I extrapolated it from sales figures dropped by Dancey & others at RPG Net over the last two years.

Here is another snippet:

Um....yeah. I think. I really don't think sticking Mialee, et al in the core books really helped in this area. Strong characters come from good DM/player interaction, right-sized challenges, and purpose. Alot of these things stem from the campaign setting, though I've never wanted to play Raistlin, Mordenkainen, etc...

Man, what I wouldn't give for an "I'm __insert name of celebrity here____, and I'm a gamer" ad campaign!

Unfortunately, the one thing I can't give is money, and that's why we'll never see one.

Both Vin Diesel and Lucy Liu have claimed to play. I offer my services to run a game for either. And Lucy can play anything she wants.
