Gamerati?

What do you think of the Gamerati? Are they effective?

I used them last October to help hype a Kickstarter for my comic book series. They were brutally effective and generated a lot of buzz. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat (I came out of lurking to do so) and hope to use them again once my project finally gets off the ground.
