Gamers and the Games they play

I'm usually not one for generalizations, but this came up at the local gaming store. People who play different games are thought to be a certain type. For instance White Wolf players are usuallly thought of as true role players boarding on actors.

What is thought about people who play differnt games? AD&D? Rifts? Shadowrun? Gurps?
Do you think of them as powergamers, munckins, or some other term?

Well, I've know some White Wolf players that are totally into acting out every aspect of their charecter, and D&D players who just grunt and say I do 15 damage to it.

But I play all sorts of Roleplaying games, and I enjoy every aspect of roleplaying. I like acting, I like strategy, I like interpersonal interaction and everything else about the game.

And so I play every genre and am always willing to try more.

I don't know if you can characterize someone by teh role playing game -

I suppose RoleMaster would be Lawyer,
Vampire the Masquerade would be someone Goth,
and D&D would be someone who enjoys the classics. Heh.

But probably no generalization holds for any of them.
