Gamer's Bag- GREAT NEWS!! (post #79)

I hope this is posted in the right place, forgive me if it's not...It was brought to my attention this morning the reasons why we haven't been able to get any sponsors after a week of trying. Apparently everyone on the gaming industry is as bad of as we are. :(
So, I'm calling upon the EN World troops to help out again. We started a huge sale on Wednesday as some of you know. We are still trying to get it all online, but the specifics are in this thread. What we need is for everyone to get the word out again that we are looking for help to get to GenCon NOT by donations this time, but by actual orders. Please, make us work!!! ;) You guys know a far larger amount of people together that Paladinwife and I do by ourselves. The amount of people who participated in January's drive blew us away.
So please, if you can, let everyone know about this sale...and about book covers which they can pre-order to be made and delivered after GenCon.
I know we can make it with your help. We'll even post a generated list of those who order to help get us to the con at GenCon! Just write "get you to the con" in the order. I'll even allow you to create banners to put on our site for large sales. It's crazy...we'll do anything to get to the con! Suggestions are still wanted! :D Here's the info:

"Our monogrammer has become our first sponsor by agreeing to drop monogram prices significantly until GenCon for those of you who wish to place an order during our sale. You can get initials for as little as $.50! And she is taking 25% off of the dakota collectables monograms (and there are like 50,000 of these)! And we've decided that we will run our bags at 1/3 off for the fabric bags only, but this does include Bags of Dice Holding!! Book covers are not part of this sale as we haven't even got the template completely finished yet, but i'm working on it! This sale runs for a couple of weeks...lets say 7/21/04.
So what do you say? Let's have a sale!!!!!!!!!!!! E-mail me for quotes until our web guy gets the info on the site. Also, if you still want a random bag of our choosing (you pick the size) then it will be 50% off. Well even give you a few choices! How's that sound?! Also pre-ordered fabric book covers are $14.95 and leather are $29.95."!

I think the sale idea is a great idea and I hope people go out an purchase your product.

But not to be rude do you not think it is a bit in bad taste to ask for donations again so soon.

But just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.

Stupid Question here: what's a kippah?

Oh, and when did you start doing those bags of holding? Those are keen.

And are the pencil holders pockets in or outside the bag, or something else?

Jewish ceremonial headcovering. Depending on how devout (bad term... hrm... how by-the-Book) you are, worn at religious worship to continually.

Okay, that's it, I'm getting a new dice bag. My old chili bag just doesn't do it :) And I think my players are getting a link mailed...

Okay...let me clarify, we are absolutely not asking for donations. This is a legitamate sale only! We want to work our way to the con or get actual company sponsorship, not donations! We just need everyone that can to get the word out. If anything, you'd just be donating your time. I don't think your question is rude at all, thank you for letting me clarify this point. :D

We put pencil holders inside the bags..we premiered these at GenCon 2003! Thay are awesome and hold about 300 dice when stuffed!

You know what these bags need? Either custom ceramic beads on the drawstrings (I am biased) OR drilled dice as drawstring enders.

Wouldn't that be somethign to premiere at GenCon?

Good for you for handling it this way, after the last drive only 1 member of my gaming group didn't have a Gamers Bag bag. :)
