Games that I just don't get

I don't get RTS Games either. I had fun with Starcraft for a while, but every one I've looked at since has seemed like exactly the same game. I can get an hour or two of enjoyment out of fooling around with them, but thats about it. I just can't understand why they are so incredibly popular.

You should all know by now that all games sucks the first few hours. I didn't "get" Warcraft 3, Jedi Academy, Planescape Torment, Vice City etc until I'd played for over two hours.

Now I love these games.

Yeah, but I've played a number of RTS games for more than two hours. I played the full version of Starcraft a whole bunch before I finally lost interest. The problem is that none of the RTS games they're coming out with these days seem to give me anything I didn't have and get sick of with Starcraft years ago. Even if there are minor improvements, the whole frantic pace of RTS games (especially online) just doesn't do it for me.
