Gamestopper, are any of these correct?

One thing that puzzles me is that Krusk attacks and hits, but this comment is made:

The beholder is still facing him, so his axe does not benefit from its +2 enhancement bonus.

What rule are they referring to?

Ah, yes, right. The same as what happens to the half-spear later in the scenario. Somehow I was imagining some crazy flanking/backstabbing rule I had never noticed before.
 

Though I think Beholders do have some kind of special immunity to flanking or some such.

(So this post is to just say 'yay!' that a thread I started got to it's second page. It's not gratuitous, honest.)

They do. It is called All-Around Vision. It gives them a +4 racial bonus to Spot and Search checks and they cannot be flanked.
