Steve Jackson also tried to do an independent d20 e-mag, similar in format to Pyramid. I can't remember the name off the top of my head; I don't think it lasted a year.
d20 Weekly. It lasted from June 2002 to May 2003; the archives are now part of Pyramid

EN World had a magazine. Whatever happened to that? You can still order the back issues at Goodman Games. I would be interested in volunteering if it is ever resurrected.

Inquest had a lot of RPG Material back in the day. Nowadays I think it's exclusively CCGs.
They had some really useful (and funny) articles back then that helped me improve my GMing.

I haven't picked up an issue in ages though.

IIRC, there were two different ones (or, at least, two different names), and both only lasted a couple of issues (I may be mistaken, but I think the one that Goodman has for sale is the first one). I think the second iteration went under a year or so ago.

Fundamental lesson from this thread: getting an RPG print mag to survive is tough.

InQuest was originally CCGs only. They expanded their coverage to include RPGs when the d20 boom hit in 2000 or 2001 (which coincided with the second contraction in the CCG market, as Pokemon cooled off), probably in an effort to broaden their readership. Sounds like, for whatever reason, they abandoned that effort.

I haven't seen much of what Warpstone has done post-2e, but certainly liked them before hand and assume that it's still a pretty cool publication.

The Crusader is a Castles & Crusades-dedicated magazine. It's pretty new, but has a lot of promise and potential.

Yeah that's about right. I think they were both called "En World Journal". Goodman published it first and then somebody else. There were 3-4 issues in all. I thought it was pretty decent.....not sure why it didn't fly. I ate whatever remained on my subscription when it folded (they did offer pay back to subscribers but it wasn't even worth the effort.....good cause). It sort of reminded me of the old-time Judges Guild Journals and Pegasus, which are also still available on ebay if you're into OD&D.
