Gaming Stores north of Boston

How far north are you looking?

I live up by the NH border, and there is a great game store in Salem, NH called Myriad Games.

Further north, Londonderry has The Game Castle.

Or are you looking a little more south than that?

It's been a while since I was there, but there is/was a great game store in Salem, MA. I don't remember the name, but it was on the main tourist street, headed away from the center of town.

North of Boston but still in MA. Woburn, MA to be exact.

I don't know of any until you get up into NH (such as Wizard's Tower in Nashua.) There used to be an iffy one in Malden -- Excalibur Hobbies, maybe? -- but I haven't been there in fifteen years.

As a former New England gamer, I'd recommend just popping on the highway down to beantown and visiting the Compleat Strategist. I honestly don't know the shops north of Boston, but Strategist (although small) generally has the new stuff, the classics, and the staff there are top notch. Also, they do gaming events there, if I recall.

Also, I'd like to say that I'm envious of gamers in New England - where I live in NY (not the city) there are _no_ gaming groups/cons within an hour drive. The Boston area was jam-packed with groups (mostly associated with colleges) that were always up for a game. Ah, those were the days...

If you're going to be driving to Boston anyway, I'd recommend Pandemonium in Harvard Square, as well.

It has been a few years since I was there, it was pre-3.0, but at the time they were having a clearance on all their RPG materials to make more room for wargaming stuff, the passion of the owner.

3 Trolls in Chelmsford has some stuff, but not a huge selection. If you are going up that far, might as well jump over the border to Wizards Tower in Nashua.
