Gaming Stores

First Post
Does anyone know how many gaming stores there are in the U.S.?

Also, I'm curious to know which is the largest and has the widest selection. I'd like to visit that store one day... If anyone knows where the best store in the world is, I'd like to know that, too.

Btw, does anyone know how many stores in general (including Barnes and Noble, Walmart, etc) carry gaming books?

Thanks!

In the Chicago area there are a number of decent game stores but I favor-

Games Plus ( http://www.games-plus.com )
101 W Prospect Ave
Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056
(847) 577-9656
Hosts: Curt Duval & Jeff Swegler (owners)

It has an excellent selection and a huge game room where we hold thwe Chicago Gameday! :)

I think he is asking about THE game store. For example, Mile High Comics (based in Denver) is THE comics store.

Once apon a time I thought the Games Workshop store in London was THE game store, but I doubt it even exists any longer.

No idea on the first. Sorry.

But for the latter, almost every (general) book store has an RPG section. B&N, B. Dalton, Borders, etc... Religious book stores shy away from them like they are evil or something... ;)

Almost NO general stores carry them tho. Target doesn't, I don't know about a lot of the rest.

Go to AEG's website and look at their retail locator. It's freakin' huge. If I were a publisher trying to get my products into stores everywhere, I'd download AEG's list and start calling stores...
